Amanda ("Amy") Osborne is the owner and founder of Apto Physical Therapy and Wellness in Wheat Ridge, CO. She has a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Northwestern University in Chicago. Having spent more than a decade in the field of pelvic health physical therapy, she has undergone extensive training in several pelvic floor rehabilitation methods. She is also the recipient of the Certificate of Achievement in Obstetric Physical Therapy from the APTA. Amy is also very involved in the fitness community, as a ACE-certified personal trainer and fitness instructor with more than 20 years' experience. She teaches courses for correction of diastasis recti, and has extensive experience with exercise prescription for the prenatal and postpartum populations.

Amy is very passionate about the promotion of integrative women’s health and often guest lectures for professional organizations and
other community organizations. She has special interest in the promotion of pelvic health and rehabilitation for those who have
sustained a spinal cord injury, and has worked with Craig Hospital to develop professional education for their staff. Amy also has
considerable experience in working with patients with intra-articular hip pathology (e.g. labral tears, hip dysplasia) and Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS). She has extensive experience in dry needling and is a Certified Manual Trigger Point Therapist (CMTPT) through Myopain.

Amy recognizes the importance of addressing more than just a patient’s physical presentation and has pursued continuing education to expand her breadth of knowledge. She uses her background as a Certified Nutrition Therapy Practitioner, Restorative Wellness Practitioner and an ACE-certified Behavior Change Specialist to provide the most effective and comprehensive care possible. She has undergone training with The Institute for Functional Medicine and is pursuing her Personalized Medicine Certification through USF.

Amy herself deals with chronic low back and hip pain and has drawn from her own personal experience to develop a truly multi-disciplinary and integrative approach to pain management. pelvic health.

In her spare time, Amy loves to teach group fitness classes, lift weights, ride her bike, read, and spend time with her husband and their two dogs. Amy was born and raised in Wheat Ridge and is excited to be serving her community!
