"When solving problems, dig at the roots instead of just hacking at the leaves." ~ Anthony J. D'Angelo

As an Orofacial Myofunctional Therapist, Megan specializes in the muscles of the mouth (tongue, lips, cheeks, pharyngeal) and face, but uses a comprehensive lens to link dysfunction associated with these muscles to interrelated symptoms. Myofunctional therapy treats mouth breathing, snoring, poor sleep quality, obstructive sleep apnea, clenching/grinding, chronic congestion, acid reflux, swallowing concerns, orthodontic relapse/halt of orthodontic progress, speech concerns, tongue-tie, neck/shoulder tension and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) concerns. The tongue is an amazingly important muscle, not only in anchoring foundational growth and development, but maintaining structural integrity through early to late adulthood.

After completing a bachelor's degree in hospitality from Eastern Illinois University in 1999, she completed an associate’s degree of dental hygiene from Harper College in 2006. From there, she pursued an extension of her dental career through the Myo Mastery Program from Integrative Myofunctional Therapy in 2018 and the Advanced Mentorship Program from Airway Circle in 2024.  She continued her education by completing the ALF Education Institute (level 1 & 2), achieving her Buteyko Breathing Method Certification, becoming a Myo Munchee Certified Practitioner and is currently studying reflex integration. She is an active member of AAPMD and Airway Circle.

Megan is originally from Chicago but has built her adult life and career in Denver due to her love of the mountains and passion for adventure. When she is not working with her myofunctional therapy clients, you can find her hiking, trail running, biking, skiing or being a yogi, usually with her husband and dog by her side!
